For the very first time, a group of Belong School Devon students will be participating in the Jubilee Challenge during the upcoming Ten Tors weekend on Dartmoor, scheduled for the 9th and 10th of May.
This amazing opportunity entails our team embarking on an 11-mile trek across the stunning Dartmoor landscape, camping under the stars on Friday night, and collaborating to accomplish something truly extraordinary. With the unwavering support of our committed staff, the students will dedicate the upcoming weeks to preparation—building their endurance, resilience, and teamwork abilities for this thrilling expedition.
Events like Ten Tors offer far more than just a hike—they profoundly influence children’s growth and well-being: Boosting confidence by overcoming challenges, enhancing mental well-being through time spent in nature and cultivating problem-solving and teamwork capabilities, as well as promoting physical fitness and a lasting passion for the outdoors.
It’s been fantastic to witness the expansion of outdoor learning and adventurous activities at Belong School Devon, with initiatives like the Jubilee Challenge, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, and our collaborations with Skylark Adventures and LD Active. We take great pride in the students who are embarking on these adventures together.
