Belong Learning’s schools work exclusively with local authorities to offer provisions to students with an Education, Health and Care Plan.

Belong Learning school’s are Section 41 approved, which means that parents and carers can request one of our schools to be named in their child’s Education, Health and Care plan. 

Every student starting at a Belong School signs up to our home-school-student agreement. It outlines what we commit to doing for each of our students to ensure that their learning environment is safe, and their experience is supported, positive and engaging, providing the highest standards of education and opportunities for personal and vocational development.

In turn, students agree to attend, engage and allow others to learn. Parents and carers also sign the home school student agreement, confirming that they will support their student to attend and to learn, as well as supporting the school’s expectations and responses when those are not met.

Our admin and premises teams are a key aspect of ensuring our Belong Learning’s schools function efficiently. The admin and premises teams make our work with students possible, maintaining the premises, ensuring health and safety compliance and keeping us all well-fed, ensuring our school is a safe, welcoming place for all.

The Learning Coach Teams at Belong Schools provide a fundamental point of contact for students in the learning environment. A small number of students are assigned to each Learning Coach to build a trusted relationship which will usually be maintained for the student’s time with the school.

The school’s leadership teams are composed of the school’s senior and extended leadership. The Leadership team also includes the school’s designated safeguarding lead (DSL) and deputy designated safeguarding leads (DDSL).

Our Pastoral team are focused on student wellbeing both inside and outside school. The role of the pastoral team is to work to remove barriers and ensure that students can engage with their learning and development.
